Reading for Other People

Lesson 3 of 5 · ~3 min

Ethical lines you don't cross

Some requests you politely decline:

  • Third-party readings. "Is my sister going to leave her husband?" No. You don't have her consent and it's none of your business.
  • Medical, legal, or financial prediction. Tarot doesn't replace a doctor, a lawyer, or an accountant. You can explore the querent's relationship to a situation; you don't predict outcomes.
  • Repeat-drawing on the same question in the same session. If they don't like the answer, that's the answer.
  • Readings for people who can't consent (small children, unconscious, incapacitated).

These aren't rules of magic — they're rules of care. Say no kindly and often.
