What is a biorhythm?
Biorhythm theory traces back to the late 19th century, when researchers proposed that human beings move through three rhythmic cycles that begin at birth. The physical cycle (23 days) governs stamina and coordination; the emotional cycle (28 days) tracks mood and creativity; the intellectual cycle (33 days) follows focus, memory, and analytical thinking.
Each cycle is modelled as a sine wave starting at zero on the day you were born. When a curve sits high, that faculty is at a peak; when it sits low, it's in a trough. Days when a curve crosses zero — switching from positive to negative or back — are sometimes called "critical": not bad days, just transitional ones.
