Your life path number in 3 sentences

Your life path number in plain terms: what it is, how to calculate it in 60 seconds, and what each number actually means without the sales pitch.

What it is, fast

Your life path number is calculated by reducing your full birth date to a single digit (or one of the master numbers 11, 22, 33). It's the most central number in numerology — representing the broad territory your life is meant to move through, not a personality profile or a prediction.

Think of it less as "who you are" and more as "what kind of work keeps showing up for you."

How to calculate yours

Add every digit of your birth date together, then reduce:

Birthday May 23, 1990 → 0+5+2+3+1+9+9+0 = 29 → 2+9 = 11 (a master number — don't reduce further).

Birthday March 14, 1985 → 0+3+1+4+1+9+8+5 = 31 → 3+1 = 4.

If you hit 11, 22, or 33 in any reduction step, stop there. Those are master numbers and carry a different weight.

What it doesn't do

Your life path number is not your destiny and it's not a limitation. Two people with the same number will live wildly different lives. It's a lens, not a prescription.

If it resonates, use it. If it doesn't, check your expression number — it often fills in what the life path misses.
