Surya is the king of the planets — the source of light around which all others orbit. In Vedic astrology, the Sun signifies the soul (atma), the father, those in positions of authority, and the principle of self that wishes to express itself outwardly. A strong Sun gives confidence, vitality, integrity, and the capacity to lead with dharma.
