Budha
Mercury
Putra karaka indirectly (creative intellect); primary karaka for speech, intelligence, and commerce
Budha is the prince of the planetary court — youthful, witty, adaptable, and quick of mind. Mercury rules intellect, speech, communication, business and commerce, education, writing, mathematics, and any work that involves the skilful use of words or numbers. A strong Mercury gives a clear and incisive mind, success in trade or media, articulate speech, and the capacity to learn quickly. A weak or afflicted Mercury can manifest as speech impediments, learning difficulties, anxiety, or business losses. Mercury takes on the qualities of whichever planets it conjoins, making it a chameleon in chart interpretation. Wednesday is its day.
