Aries

The pioneer — first to act, ready to lead, hungry for new ground.

Mesha is the first sign of the zodiac, ruled by Mars and embodying the warrior principle. Aries natives are pioneers — they like to be first, to start, to act on instinct rather than deliberation. The sign carries Mars's fire and drive but also its impulsiveness and tendency to head injury (the head is Mesha's body part). In Vedic charts, the Sun is exalted here at 10° — it is the most powerful position for the soul to manifest its dharma through bold initiative.

כ ascendant (Aries Lagna)

When Aries rises, the native carries themselves with a forward-leaning energy. Athletic build, often a scar or distinguishing mark on the face. Decisions are made quickly and revisited rarely. Sun and Mars become the most important planets to assess.
